Important roadworks information 

M40 northbound between junction 6 exit and entry slip road- technology work 

I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out technology work on the M40 northbound between the exit and exit slip roads at junction 6. Once complete, this will ensure the M40 continues to remain safe. 

We plan to complete this work overnight on Friday 28 November 2025. We will work between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.  

Closures and diversions 

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M40 northbound between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 6 and divert traffic as follows: 

Traffic will be diverted via the M40 exit slip road at junction 6 and rejoin the M40 via the entry slip road at junction 6.
