🌺 Our Remembrance Day Poppy Cascade is taking shape! 🌺
It was wonderful to visit one of the many groups helping create poppies for our Remembrance Day Cascade. The Stokenchurch Community Library Craft Group has been busy knitting, crocheting and making beautiful felt poppies, and we’d like to say a huge thank you for their support.
The group meets every Friday from 10am, and new volunteers are always welcome. Whether you knit, crochet, sew or simply want to lend a hand, we’d love you to get involved.
We’re also collecting donations of:
🔴Red wool for traditional poppies
🟣 Purple wool to remember the animals that served in wartime
⚪ White wool for peace poppies
🔘 Spare buttons for poppy centres
Don’t worry if your wool isn’t new—odd balls, leftover scraps and even old red knitted garments that can be unravelled are all incredibly useful.
We are always accepting knitted, crocheted and felt poppies. These can be dropped off at The Stokenchurch Community Library or St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church.
Together let’s create a spectacular display of remembrance that our whole community can be proud of. Every poppy makes a difference.
Lest We Forget. ❤️
