Itโs great to see several long-standing issues around the parish now resolved, thanks to a combination of reporting, persistence and some excellent work by Buckinghamshire Council.

Itโs great to see several long-standing issues around the parish now resolved, thanks to a combination of reporting, persistence and some excellent work by Buckinghamshire Council.
**Broken manhole cover opposite Shell Petrol Station โ finally repaired**This manhole cover had been broken for over 6 months, creating a difficult obstruction for wheelchair and pushchair users.
The challenge was establishing exactly who was responsible for it. Following some excellent detective work by Buckinghamshire Council, a Section 81 notice was issued. Once the owner was identified, the manhole was repaired the very next day.
Weโre very glad to see this one finally sorted and the pavement made easier and safer #BucksCouncil
Bollards Fixed
2 x bollards have been fixed outside Tesco and along George Road (we have also reported a 3rd which is also scheduled to be fixed)
Bus Timetable replaced by Bucks Council upon the Bus Shelter on New Road – due to the previous timetable having been vandalised. This has been replaced free of charge saving the Parish Council ยฃ150.00.
Brown bin removedA brown bin overflowing with rubbish opposite New Road had been spotted by Parish Councillors and reported to Buckinghamshire Council. Weโre pleased to say it has now been removed. (According to a dog walker it had been there for over 3 years).
**Kingston Hill to Junction 5 โ major clean-up**The entire stretch of road from Kingston Hill through to the gates at Junction 5 of the M40 has recently been cleared of rubbish.
A huge thank you to the individual or individuals who took the time to carry out such a significant clean-up. It really is appreciated. 
The rubbish had not been collected for over 3 weeks. Therefore Parish Councillors removed rubbish themselves, while larger and bulkier items like car bonnets and bumpers were reported through FixMyStreet for collection.

**A quick reminder**If you have conducted a litter pick and wish for rubbish to be collected, you only need to report pick up locations via fix my street. If you also spot rubbish, fly-tipping, overflowing bins around the parish, please report them through FixMyStreet.

Itโs fantastic to see residents, Parish Councillors and Buckinghamshire Council working together to keep our area looking its best.
